The Shippensburg University Jazz Ensemble performs a variety of jazz literature featuring styles from the Big Band era to the present. The Jazz Ensemble performs at various concerts and shows during the spring semester.
Performance Opportunities
The Jazz Ensemble has performed at Union Station in St. Louis, Mishler Theater in Altoona, and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Pittsburgh. Recent performances include An Evening of Jazz at the Luhrs Center and Disneyland California Adventure.
Instrumentation
The Shippensburg Jazz Ensemble features instrumentalists on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass, piano, guitar, drums, and vocals.

Monday nights from 6:30-9:15PM
Auditions
Auditions are open to all students and generally take place during October or November.
