The Shippensburg University Wind Ensemble is committed to pushing student's musical horizons by performing outstanding traditional and contemporary wind band literature. The Wind Ensemble exemplifies our university through performances on campus as well as concert tours in the spring semester.
Performance Opportunities
The Wind Ensemble has had tours with performances in Boston, St. Louis, Virginia Beach, Gettysburg, and Walt Disney World. Recent performances include Westlake High School in California and tours to New York City.
Instrumentation
The Shippensburg Wind Ensemble features instrumentalists on flute/piccolo, oboe, clarinet, sax, horn, trumpet, euphonium, trombone, tuba, piano, and percussion.
Rehearsals
Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:45PM
Auditions
Auditions are open to all students who play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. Auditions generally take place during October or November.
